Site Match

For labourers

Get site work.
Keep your full rate.

One profile, then we do the ringing. When a Birmingham contractor needs your trade near you, we call you with the site, the dates and the rate. The contractor pays you direct, at the rate you agreed — no money passes through us at all, so there is nothing to take a cut of.

How it works

Set it up once,
then we come to you

No CV, no interview, no agency registration appointment. It's a profile and a phone number.

1

Build your profile

Your trade, years on the tools, the area you cover and the day rate you work for.

2

Send your CSCS card

Your card number, a photo of the card, and a clear photo of you. We check the number against the official register and that the face on the card is yours, then your profile gets the verified badge. The photo of you is deleted the moment we've checked it.

3

Mark yourself available

One tap, and you're in the pool we source from that week. Available workers get rung first.

Why bother

What's actually in it for you

Your rate, not theirs

You put your day rate on your own profile and the contractor pays it to you direct. Contractors pay us a monthly fee for the software, and a one-off fee when they take someone on — it has nothing to do with your day rate, and it doesn't go up or down with what you earn. An agency's margin does.

More than one source of work

Instead of depending on one subbie who rings when he's busy, you're on the list for every Birmingham contractor who orders through us.

Your ticket proven

A verified CSCS badge saves the "have you got your card?" conversation and puts you ahead of profiles without it.

Fill your gaps

Job finishing Friday? Flip to available and be in the list contractors are searching on Monday morning.

Apply to real jobs

You can also see open jobs in your profile — location, dates, rate, how many needed — and put yourself forward in one tap.

Your hours, written down

On sites using it, you scan a code at the gate when you arrive and when you leave — your own phone camera, no app. Your clock-ins show in your account, so if a day ever gets questioned it isn’t your word against anyone’s. No signal on site is fine; it sends when you get some.

We ring you

When a contractor orders your trade near you, we call you with the site, the dates and the rate. You say yes or no — no bidding, no waiting to be found.

Your details

What contractors can and can't see

Fair's fair — here's exactly how your information is handled.

They can see

Your name, trade, years of experience, general area and radius, day rate, availability and CSCS status.

They can't see

Your card image is private — only the admin doing the verification can open it. Your number isn't published anywhere; we hold it and ring you ourselves when there's a job.

Questions

Straight answers

Does it cost me anything?

No, and it can't. Workers pay nothing and keep 100% of their day rate. Contractors pay us a monthly fee for the software and a one-off fee when they take someone on; your pay goes straight from the contractor to you and never comes near us.

Do I have to have a CSCS card?

You can create a profile without one, but a verified card makes a big difference — most main contractors filter for it. Upload it whenever you're ready and we'll check it.

Will I get spammed with calls?

No. Contractors can see your profile — your trade, your area, your rate — but not your number. That only goes to a contractor once he's actually booked you. Until then we ring you, and only when there's a real job that matches your trade and your area. Mark yourself as not available and we stop calling until you switch it back.

Who decides my day rate?

You put a rate on your profile and contractors see it there, so the conversation starts from your number. The rate for a particular job is agreed with you before you accept it — we tell you the site, the dates and the money, and you say yes or no. You can change what's on your profile whenever you like.

What trades are on it?

Labouring roles across Birmingham to start — general labourer, groundworker's labourer, skip and muck away, demolition, concrete, scaffolder's labourer and site cleaning. Other trades come once labouring is working properly.

Who actually pays me?

The contractor, direct, the same way as any site job you take now. We don't hold your money, pay it on, or take anything from it — so there is no week where Site Match owes you anything. What we do is put you in front of the contractor with your ticket already checked.

Am I employed by Site Match?

No. We find the work and check your ticket; you agree the job and the rate directly with the contractor, and he pays you. We never handle wages, PAYE, National Insurance or pensions — your tax works exactly as it does now.
