This policy explains what personal information Site Match collects, why we collect it, who can see it, and what you can do about it. It's written in plain English on purpose. If anything here isn't clear, email gavinsahota863@gmail.com and ask.
Site Match is a construction labour marketplace operating in Birmingham, United Kingdom. We connect main contractors with labourers. We are the data controller for the information described below. Contact: gavinsahota863@gmail.com.
We collect this information to run the marketplace — that is, to let contractors find suitable labourers and contact them, and to let labourers be found and apply for work. This is the service you're signing up for, so our lawful basis is the performance of a contract with you. Where you upload a CSCS card, we process it to verify your qualification status, which we do on the basis of your consent — you choose whether to upload it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Site Match uses Supabase to host its database, authentication and file storage. Your data is stored on their infrastructure under their security controls. We chose an EU/UK-region project where available. Supabase acts as our data processor.
We keep your profile for as long as your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your profile and your CSCS card image. We may keep basic records of completed placements for a reasonable period where we need them to resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent (for example, for your CSCS card) at any time. If you think we've handled your information badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd rather you told us first so we can fix it.
Site Match does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We store a login token in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in, and a small marker recording when you last checked your jobs so we can show you what's new. Both are strictly necessary for the service to work, and neither is shared with anyone.
Access to the database is controlled by row-level security rules, meaning users can only read and change the records they're entitled to. CSCS card images sit in a private store that requires administrator access. Passwords are hashed. No system is perfect — if you spot a problem, please tell us straight away.
Site Match is for people working in construction and is not intended for anyone under 18. Please don't create an account if you're under 18.
If we change how we handle your information we'll update this page and change the date at the top. For anything significant, we'll tell users directly.
